Like many adults, I find a strange joy in the hum of travel. The pop of my ears as the plane lifts off, the subtle vibration beneath my feet while speeding through the Eurotunnel, or the feeling of wind rushing through my hair on the motorway to my next adventure. I love it all.
Traveling opens new worlds, new cultures, unfamiliar cuisines, and perhaps most importantly, a chance to step away from the routines of everyday life. As someone who feels restless staying in one place for too long (hello, ADHD!), I seize every opportunity to travel as often as I can.
It was around 2020, during the standstill of the pandemic, that it all clicked for me. The world paused, and for the first time, I asked myself, “Why am I not doing what I truly want to do?” That question changed everything. Up until then, I had only traveled outside the country twice. I knew there was a world out there waiting for me, filled with experiences that could broaden my horizons and feed my curiosity about other cultures.
From that moment on, I made a promise to myself: if someone asked, “Want to take a trip?” the answer would always be yes. I want to taste spices I’ve never heard of, move to music my ears have never known, and chase sunsets on the other side of the world.
Since making that decision, I’ve been fortunate enough to explore many countries across Europe; Italy(multiple times), Spain, France and Malta, and three in Africa: Nigeria and Cameroon and Morroco. Every trip has been a new adventure, each destination a new chapter in my journey to experience the richness of cultures far beyond my own.
And yet, with every trip, I’ve discovered something deeper. Travel isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about changing perspectives, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, and growing as a person. It’s about realizing that there’s so much more to life than the routines we get trapped in and that there’s a whole world out there waiting to inspire, challenge, and uplift us.
Traveling has taught me to embrace uncertainty, to savor the beauty of the unfamiliar, and to appreciate the simple joy of being present in each new experience. Whether it's standing on the cliffs of Italy’s Abruzzo Coast, wandering through the bustling markets of Lagos, or soaking in the vibrant colors of a sunset over the Mediterranean, each moment has left an indelible mark on my soul.

So here I am, with each journey fueling my passion for exploration and cultural immersion, reminding me of the importance of saying yes to adventure, to growth, and to the life I want to live. As long as there are new horizons to discover, I’ll keep moving forward, embracing the world and all its endless wonders.
Until next time Peeps x
